Sandbox Studios was a consulting firm that partnered with museums to plan, create, manage, and evaluate education programs and technology initiatives. Drawing on more than thirty years of combined experience as museum professionals and independent consultants, the firm developed a wide range of projects, from classroom materials to web portals integrating collections across multiple museums. Sandbox Studios focused on applying proven technologies and innovative educational strategies to connect audiences with museum collections.

The company concluded its work in 2014. Following its closure, Kris and Scott Sayre each went on to serve in director-level roles at the Corning Museum of Glass, where they continued to advance museum education and digital initiatives before retiring in 2022 and 2024. This site is maintained as a historical reference.
